2. Rebar is the common name for hot-rolled ribbed steel bars. The grade of hot rolled ribbed steel bar (Hotrolled Ribbed Steel Bar) consists of HRB and the minimum yield point of the grade. H, R, and B are the first letters of the English words Hotrolled, Ribbed, and Bar respectively. Hot-rolled ribbed steel bars are divided into four grades: HRB335 (Grade II, the old brand is 20MnSi), HRB400 (Grade III, the old brand is 20MnSiV, 20MnSiNb, 20MnTi), HRB500 (Grade IV) and HRB600.

There are three shapes of ribbed steel bars: spiral, herringbone and crescent. Generally, grade II and III steel bars are rolled into herringbone shapes, and grade IV steel bars are rolled into spiral and crescent shapes.
