What is a golden finger?
The golden finger part of the memory is the place where it touches the memory slot of the motherboard. This place in my memory is a row of neatly arranged contacts. This part is generally gold-plated. If this part is polluted or the gold film falls off to produce oxidation, we all need to clean this golden finger part, as shown below, which is the golden finger part of the memory. It's the same whether it's 1 or 2 generations and 3 generations.
By the same token, we can understand the graphics card by knowing where the gold finger of the memory chip is. As shown below, the gold finger of the graphics card is also in contact with the gold-plated slot of the motherboard graphics card.
Supplement: Common Maintenance Skills of Memory
1. For the faults caused by dust in the memory golden finger and the oxide layer of the graphics card, everyone should use rubber or cotton dipped in alcohol to clean it, so that the screen will not be black.
2. Regarding the problem of mixed memory, try to choose the same memory as you have when upgrading memory. Don't think that buying new mainstream memory will greatly increase the performance of your computer. On the contrary, there may be many problems. Principle of mixed memory: Insert low-standard and low-standard memory into the first memory slot (DIMM 1).
3. When only one memory needs to be installed, the memory slot close to the CPU slot should be preferred. The advantage of this is that the memory can be cleaned after being polluted by the dust brought out by the CPU fan, but the socket is extremely difficult to clean after being polluted.
4. Install the memory module, and there is a latch on both sides of DIMM slot. When the memory gap is properly aligned and inserted, these two latches should automatically connect the memory? Bite? Live. There is only one gap on the gold finger of DDR memory, and both sides of the gap are asymmetric, which corresponds to a rib on the DIMM memory slot, so the direction is easy to determine. For the previous SDR, there are two gaps, and it is easy to determine the direction, but SDR has gradually faded out of the market, so it doesn't hurt to know; When pulling up the memory, just move two paws outward, and the memory will automatically come out of the DIMM (or RIMM) slot.

Check the memory stick: the genuine Kingston memory stick is printed clearly and regularly, while the fake is obviously rough and thin, and the font looks thinner. In addition, the typesetting rules of the true and false Kingston memory labels are quite different, please observe carefully.
Check the memory particles: It can be clearly seen from the Kingston memory particles in the picture that the genuine Kingston memory particles print clearly, while the fake memory particles are very dim, which is in sharp contrast with the genuine ones. For a memory, PCB only accounts for about 10% of the memory cost, and memory particles are the key to determine the memory price. So usually fake PCBs are basically made by regular foundries, and particles are jargon? White film? That is what we call inferior products, the price is low, but the stability and compatibility are poor.
Check the registered trademark logo: the registered trademark of authentic Kingston? r? A circle composed of the English letter "KINGSTON" is clearly printed around, while the fake is just a circular box that is obviously copied at will. One more thing, carefully observe the watermark inside the label. There are obvious traces at the junction of the fake memory watermark and Kingston font, which proves that it is post-printed and will not appear in the genuine Kingston memory.
Gold finger identification: the bottom is the gold finger of genuine Kingston memory. The gold finger in Kingston's memory is pure in color, and the gold finger connection part in the purple box is plated with gold; The gold finger in the fake Kingston memory is slightly darker, and the gold finger connector in the red box is a copper piece of PCB board without gold plating.
Font recognition on PCB: On the left is genuine Kingston memory. Authentic Kingston memory fonts are uniform, with no obvious size difference and relevant certification symbols. Fake Kingston memory fonts are different, and there are no related authentication symbols.
K-shaped label: this is a macro shot with a SLR camera, and at the same time, the flash is turned on to shoot the true and false label. The laser pattern of the genuine label can see dense silver powder particles, the K-shaped label is not obvious, and the background is blue. However, the K-shaped label of counterfeit money is very obvious, and the particle density of silver powder is low.
Flip the angle to view the anti-counterfeiting: the laser anti-counterfeiting label of genuine Kingston memory can present two patterns by changing the angle. The first pattern is the silver powder effect along the upper half and the semi-K dyeing along the lower half; The second pattern has a silver powder effect on the lower half edge and a semi-K shape on the upper half edge. Fake labels have only one pattern, that is, the whole presents an obvious K word.
