Application for Green Food Label

Any unit or individual who wants to engage in green food production and obtain a Green Food Label should follow the following procedures. Green Food Certification Process Chart

[2] All units and individuals with green food production conditions can be applicants for the right to use the green food mark. 1. Applicants should fill in the "Application Form for the Use of Green Food Label" in duplicate (including attached materials) and submit it to the green food management department of the province (autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government, city under separate state planning). 2. The provincial green food management department entrusts an environmental protection monitoring agency that has passed metrological certification at or above the provincial level to conduct an environmental assessment of the product or the origin of the product's raw materials. 3. The provincial green food management department will conduct a preliminary review of the application materials and submit the materials that pass the preliminary review to the China Green Food Development Center. 4. The China Green Food Development Center will work with authoritative environmental protection agencies to review the above materials. If the products are qualified, the food monitoring agency designated by the China Green Food Development Center will sample the declared products and test them according to green food quality and hygiene standards; if they are unqualified, their applications will no longer be accepted that year. 5. The China Green Food Development Center conducts a comprehensive review (including on-site inspection) of products that pass the quality and hygiene tests, and signs a "Green Food Mark Use Agreement" with qualified applicants: the Ministry of Agriculture issues a Green Food Mark use certificate and number; Report to the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce for filing, and announce it to the public at the same time. The China Green Food Development Center will uniformly number the products that are permitted to use the green food mark and issue a certificate for the use of the green food mark. The numbering format is: LB-XX-XXXXXXXXXX or GF×××××× ×× ××××. "LB" is the green food label code. The following two digits represent the product classification. The meaning of the last 10 digits is as follows: the first and second digits are the year of approval, the third and fourth digits are the month of approval, the fifth and sixth digits are the province and region, and the seventh digit is the province. The eighth, ninth, and tenth digits are the product serial number, and the last digit is the product level (A grade ends with an odd number, and AA grade ends with an even number). From the serial number, you can identify the product-related information and identify whether the "green label" has expired. "GF" is the green food enterprise information mark code. The following 6 digits represent the area code, which is compiled according to administrative divisions to the county level; the middle two digits are the certification year, and the last four digits are the serial number of that year. A new numbering system will be implemented from August 1, 2009. The deadline for the transition period for product numbers and enterprise information codes is July 31, 2012. Since then, the enterprise information code will be uniformly used on the packaging of all certified products.
