Water transfer printing

Water transfer printing technology is a kind of printing that uses water pressure to hydrolyze transfer paper/plastic film with color patterns. With the improvement of people's requirements for product packaging and decoration, water transfer printing is used more and more widely. Its indirect printing principle and perfect printing effect solve the surface decoration problems of many products, and are mainly used for transfer printing of various ceramics and cellophane.

applied range

1. Automobile supplies: dashboard, control panel, paper towel tray, cup holder, adhesive tape seat, rear view frame, operating handle, car lock, etc.

Electronic products: telephones, pagers, video recorders, stereos, remote controllers, mice, clocks, keyboards, cameras, hair dryers, etc.

13. Household articles: sofa, coffee table, cupboard, chandelier, ashtray, vase, decorative container, etc.

4. Daily products: luggage accessories, tableware handles, glasses cases, pens, pen containers, desk calendars, artistic photo frames, rackets, hair accessories, cosmetic pens, cosmetic boxes, etc.

Indoor building materials: doors and windows, floors, wallboard, etc.

Transfer object

All kinds of decals. 1. Printing ceramic decal paper. It can be used to make patterns of various daily-use ceramics such as ceramic tableware and ceramic water containers, and can also be used to make building bricks such as waist lines, decorative bricks and decorative ceramics.

4. Print cellophane. Can be used for glassware, glass bottles, advertising cup, various glass containers and decorative glass.

3. Print helmet decals. It is widely used to make the surface patterns of motorcycle helmets and helmets.

4. Sporting goods decals. Such as making trademarks and signs on the surface of tennis rackets and fishing rods;

6. Making decals on the surface of the toy car model;

(7) Printed woodcarving paper;

⒏ Fashion tattoo stickers;

(9) Other decals that are difficult to print directly.

Two classifications

There are two kinds of water transfer printing technology, one is water mark extension technology, and the other is water-based coating extension technology. The former mainly completes the transfer of figures and portrait patterns, while the latter tends to complete the transfer on the whole product surface. Covering extension technology is to use a water-soluble film to carry pictures and texts. Because the water-coated film has excellent tension, it is easy to wrap on the surface of the product to form a graphic layer, and the surface of the product obtains a completely different appearance like painting. Covered on any shape of workpiece, it solves the problem of three-dimensional product printing for manufacturers. Curved surface coating can also add different lines on the product surface, such as dermatoglyphics, wood grains, jade lines, marble lines, etc., and at the same time, it can also avoid the common gaps in general layout printing. And in the printing process, because the product surface does not need to contact with the printing film, it can avoid damaging the product surface and its integrity.

Water transfer printing is a kind of film with special chemical treatment. Print out the required color lines and send them to the water surface. Under the action of water pressure, color lines and patterns are evenly transferred to the product surface. When the film is covered, it will automatically dissolve in water. After cleaning and drying, apply a transparent protective coating. At this point, the product has presented a completely different visual effect.

process flow

Making water transfer decals → soaking decals → transferring patterns → drying → finished products.

Production in water transfer printing paper. After the required patterns are processed by computer, the output negative is made into a printing plate, and then various patterns are printed on the water transfer backing paper (specially processed paper does not need to be processed), and then the printed backing paper is printed with cover oil. Another method is to use a color laser printer to print the pattern directly on the water transfer backing paper, and then carry out water transfer printing.

4. Immerse the printed decal in water for 30 seconds and then take it out of the water. Be careful not to soak for too long, otherwise it will dissolve the glue on the surface of the paper.

3. Pattern transfer. Firstly, the surface of the object to be pasted is treated, then the soaked decal paper is transferred to it, and then the excess water is scraped off and dried.

2. Drying. Metal, ceramics, glass and other items are put into the oven and baked for 20min; at 140; Bake the plastic articles at 70℃ for 60 minutes; Candles, helmets and tempered glass are not baked.

5. Finished product. Spray a layer of transparent finish or matte oil and rubber oil on the surface of baked goods, and dry for 12h to permanently combine the surface with decoration. If you don't do this project, it's ok, but the fastness is not good.
