In November 1937, part of the factory moved to Changsha, Hunan; part moved to Wanxian, Sichuan. In November 1939, the factory headquarters and all manufacturing branches were moved to Qiaohe Township, Qijiang County (current location).

In September 1951, the factory was renamed the Chinese People's Liberation Army Qiji Second Manufacturing and Distribution Factory and was affiliated to the Logistics Department of the Military Commission; in September 1952, it produced China's first batch of 11 automobile transmissions.

In August 1953, the factory was renamed Qijiang Auto Parts Factory. It was designated by the state to produce automobile gears and was affiliated to the Automobile Industry Administration Bureau of the First Ministry of Machinery Industry.

In June 1958, the factory was affiliated to the Chongqing Machinery Bureau. In the same year, it successfully trial-produced the GAZ-63 transfer case assembly and the CJ10 Mengjin truck; in 1960, it trial-produced the QJ370 Mengjin 12T dump truck. .
