Qualifications required to apply for a German trademark:

According to German trademark law, trademark registration applicants can be enterprises, institutions, social groups, industrial and commercial persons, or natural person. Applicants who do not have a business office in Germany can apply for trademark protection in Germany according to law only if the country where they have a business office accepts the German trademark and treats it the same as the trademark in their own country.

Documents required for application:

2. List of goods and services.

3. Foreign applicants are also required to provide a copy of the trademark registration certificate of the country of origin. Citizens of reciprocal countries that grant privileges to German citizens do not need certification.
