Landrover is a British luxury all-terrain SUV brand founded by Maurice Wilkes.

Founded in 1948, it is now part of the Indian Tata Motors Group. "Landrover" is translated as "Land Rover" in mainland China. When it was launched in China, it was discovered that the word "Land Rover" had been registered as a trademark, and "Landrover" was registered as "Land Rover" in China. Land Rover currently has three major product families: Range Rover series, Discovery series, and Defender series.

Development History

In 2003, the Land Rover brand established an office in China.

In 2008, India's Tata Motors acquired the Land Rover business from Ford, and in the same year, Jaguar Land Rover was officially established.

In 2009, Land Rover has successively brought its 2010 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Land Rover Discovery 4th Generation and Land Rover Freelander 2nd Generation into China. In March 2010, Land Rover Defender was launched in China.

In 2017, Land Rover’s new Range Rover Velar was launched.

In early 2018, Land Rover launched the new Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid model P400e.
