Why was the fifth season of "The Voice of China" changed to "China's New Singing"?

When the fifth season of "The Voice of China" was launched, Talpa announced that it had reached a copyright cooperation with Tangde Film and Television and banned Canxing from producing the fifth season of "The Voice of China". On July 4, 2016, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court made a final ruling and ordered Canxing to stop using the program name "The Voice of China". On July 6, 2016, Zhejiang Satellite TV announced that it would temporarily rename the program "The Voice of China 2016" to "China's New Singing".

Regarding the copyright termination matter, Canxing accused Talpa of violating international practices, demanding sky-high model fees, and then unilaterally tearing up the contract, regardless of the exclusive right to renew the contract promised to Canxing. At the same time, Canxing launched an international lawsuit against Talpa and planned to file international lawsuits simultaneously in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States, suing Talpa for unilateral breach of contract.

In addition, Canxing also sent a lawyer's letter to Tangde Film and Television, stating that the cooperation agreement reached with Talpa Company seriously infringed on Canxing's legitimate rights and interests. Tangde Film and Television announced on the morning of the 13th that it received a letter from Talpa Media of the Netherlands, the copyright owner of "The Voice of China", requesting the termination of the agreement. After the agreement is terminated, Tangde Film and Television should still pay the remaining US$41.25 million in licensing fees to Talpa.

On June 25, 2018, Tang De, Canxing, and Zhejiang Satellite TV finally reached a settlement on the intellectual property dispute related to "The Voice of China". Canxing Production expressed that it is very happy to reach a settlement this time, and Zhejiang Satellite TV and Canxing Production have officially submitted a report to the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television: applying to change the name of "China's New Singing", which has been confirmed to return on July 13 this year, to "China Good News" sound".
