Each brand will have a corresponding scope of use. If the category you choose when applying for a brand is not within the scope of use of your trademark, the brand application will not be approved. You can check the scope of use of your trademark through the trademark website. Check the product/service list items on the trademark usage scope results page to confirm whether they match the category you applied for.

You can check the scope of use of your trademark through the trademark website. The method of querying the scope of trademark use is as follows:
Step 1: Click "Trademark Comprehensive Search", "Application/Registration Number" Enter in the field, click Query, and on the query results page, click "Registration Number" or "Trademark Name" to view the scope of use by the merchant.
Step 2: Check the "Product/Service List" item on the trademark usage scope results page to confirm whether it matches the category you applied for.
If a brand applies for the "mobile phone" category, adding it is not supported because "mobile phone" is not included in the scope of use of the brand.
There is another way to query:
1. Check the class number of the trademark.
2. Please check the content of the category number through the classification website and click on the corresponding category.
For example, if you want to use this trademark to apply for a brand in the "facial mask" category, you can search on the page to see if the information "facial mask" is included. If it does not, your application will not be approved.
