She tried her best to defeat the demon dragon and dug a stone cave straight into the middle of the river, forming two whirlpools. In order to commemorate the achievements of the carp spirit, people built the Fish King Temple.

Legend has it that in the past three springs, when the water rose, offshore yellow croakers would swim up the river in groups. Whenever they swam here, the fish king would make a Tai Chi circle on their heads to prevent them from being mixed with other fishes.
