Are there any regional restrictions on the use of trademarks?

There are usage restrictions.

1. Trademarks are registered according to categories, and they are divided into forty-five categories. The product items in each category are different. The product or service you want to register for protection belongs to that category, and you can apply for registration in that category.

2. The scope of trademark protection is limited to goods registered in that category, and no cross-category protection is allowed. Trademarks are protected nationwide and are not subject to regional restrictions.

3. The term of trademark protection starts from the date of registration approval by the Trademark Office. It can be protected for ten years. After ten years, it can be renewed. After renewal, it can be used for another ten years. It can be used again after ten years of renewal.
