A famous person who carried the torch.
Because the frequency of four-way boiler in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China was relatively dense. Therefore, most of the masters who were good at making four-way pots were born in this period, such as Yu Guoliang, Li Baozhen, Feng Guilin, Wang Baogen and Wu Yungen. Among them, Yu Guoliang is an intermediate master. He was born in 1853. His craft is exquisite and delicate, and he doesn't like to stick to the existing form. He often modifies the old system through clever thinking and creates another interest. Wu Dacheng often hires him to make pots instead. At that time, Zisha potters generally thought that pots were the most difficult to make, but the pots made in Yu Guoliang were not only uniform and powerful, but also powerful. Even took the pot to the Panama International Competition of 1927 and the Chicago Expo of 1932, and won the prize at the same time as Cheng Shouzhen's ball pot, which was the first prize for Zisha pottery in the international competition. At present, Yixing Zisha Craft Factory has a furnace pot made of Yu Guoliang's rare Dahongpao mud. The mud in this pot is smooth and bright, and the temperature is excellent. It can be called the representative transmitter of Yu Guoliang.

Other potters who are good at making square pots are:

Li Baozhen, a native of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, was good at fighting sand pots and furnace pots as the most common relics with exquisite style. Not only the word "Bao Zhen" in regular script is printed in the square, but also the four-character seal script "Li Baozhen" is printed in the square at the bottom of the pot.

Feng Guilin, a prolific potter at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, can be described as "never taking a day off, never taking a moment off". He is good at making all kinds of teapots, and the pots he makes are generous. Two "Guilin" Yang Wen seal characters are commonly used. Because I work in Wu Desheng Ceramic Company, some utensils are printed with "Jinding Trademark" on the bottom.

Wang Baogen, a native of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, made pots and looked at their relics as his profession, and his style was sweet and mellow. The cover often has a square seal of the word "Baogen" and a small square seal of the word "Wang" on it. Some works have the square seal of the word "virtual Zhai", which is very excellent and should come from a famous sword.

Wu Yungen, 1892~ 1962, whose real name is Zhilai, is a famous master of pot making in modern times, especially good at purple sand plastic ware. The shape is simple and steady, smooth and connotative. It is often printed with the word "Yungen", or with the word "Zhilai" and the word "Zhilai". The seals on the bottom of the pot include Wu Yungen's seal script and Wu Zhilai's regular script. In addition, the seal script made by Tiehuaxuan was added to the machine.

Contemporary four-way pot making is quite rare, which may be because the pot maker thinks it is a traditional pot, and its modeling innovation is less, or it is not easy to form, and it takes a long time to make, which is not as pleasing as other modeling. This paper includes the furnace piercing device made by Cao Wanfen, Li and three people. The first two books are early works, perhaps written by famous families, so they lack the vigorous spirit of venturing into the Guandong pot in momentum.

On the contrary, in recent years, many new types of Chen Guoliang have appeared, and their "Yu Ling-style furnaces and pots" are quite refreshing. Contrary to the traditional basic structure of "putting the square in the circle", the device adopts the design principle of "putting the square in the circle". The whole device is round, full of energy and moist. If the traditional stove is a "four-legged pig", then this pot may be called a "mini pig". It can be seen that traditional modeling is the heritage of our ancestors, but if it is not innovative, if it is always repeated, it will be submerged in the tide of purple sand. On the other hand, if we can ruminate on the wisdom of our predecessors and give them a brand-new style of the times after digestion, we can write a new page for today's purple sand, worthy of our ancestors.
