The Trademark Law stipulates that signs identical or similar to the names and flags of intergovernmental international organizations or signs identical or similar to the names and flags of the Red Cross and Red Crescent shall not be used as trademarks.

3. Bad meanings of English trademarks

It is said that the first foreign language that all people learn is swearing. However, as a symbol used in commercial activities, trademarks cannot use words with negative meanings.

When examining English trademark applications, the Trademark Office will always search the meaning of English words, so don't try to fool examiners with unfamiliar English. If it is found that its meaning is negative and its style is low, it will definitely affect socialist morality and cause adverse effects.

4. English trademarks don't contain city names

According to the Trademark Law, signs containing country names, administrative divisions at or above the county level or foreign place names known to the public shall not be used as trademarks.

In a word, English trademarks are no better than Chinese trademarks, so it is difficult to avoid risks by common sense. Therefore, after coming up with an English trademark, it is best to search it on the search engine, eliminate the risk and submit the application, so as not to waste time and energy.
