The tiger in the calligraphy and painting elements on the tiger's back label adopts the "King's Spirit".
The Maotai zodiac tiger is carefully drawn by the famous Chinese artist Mr. Meng Xiangshun. In terms of momentum, the zodiac tiger launched by Moutai this time may not be as powerful as the ordinary tiger, but it does indicate that the life of commemoration will be smooth and steady, and move forward slowly. The tiger represents a symbol of strength and might, as well as majesty and auspiciousness and peace. So I think this is what Moutai wants to express with the Year of the Tiger zodiac wine.
This time Moutai will launch four brands and five wines for the Year of the Tiger, namely: 53vol 500ml Kweichow Moutai, 53vol 375ml×2 Kweichow Moutai, 53vol 500ml Moutai Prince Liquor, and 53vol 2.5L Kweichow Moutai. Daqu and 53vol 500ml Laimao liquor.
The biggest highlight of Moutai Zodiac Wine every year is the color of the bottle and the calligraphy and painting elements on the back label. The back label elements use the painting "The King" by Meng Xiangshun, a famous contemporary painter and founder of Beijing M3 Art Museum. "Qi", as well as calligraphy works by the famous calligrapher Yan Fuchu.
"The King's Spirit":
Meng Xiangshun recalled that decades ago, he was very interested in the wild Siberian tigers living in Jilin and had searched for the wild Siberian tigers many times. All the footprints were returned in vain. By chance, Meng Xiangshun learned that a wild Siberian tiger happened to have given birth to five cubs in a wildlife park in Jilin. He went to visit and agreed with the administrator that he would continue to pay attention to the growth of the cubs.
Because the survival rate of wild Siberian tiger cubs is low and they are prone to die young, when Meng Xiangshun came to the wildlife park again the next year, only one of the five cubs survived. After more than a year of "training", this young tiger has the ability to survive alone in the wild, and the wildlife park decided to release it into the wild.
The fearlessness in facing the unknown and the courage in facing difficulties just demonstrate the tiger’s kingly feeling as the king of the forest. At this moment, Meng Xiangshun was deeply affected. He sighed, "Isn't this the emotion that the painter wanted to express?" So, he made up his mind to paint this moment well.
