U.S. POLO ASSN. (United States Polo Association) brand is the most authentic representative of American polo. It is the only non-profit organization with regulatory rights to polo in the United States since 1890. Officially recognized by the United States Polo Association.

Brand history

1859 – British officers stationed in India founded the first polo club in modern times, Silchar Polo Club.

1862 – The oldest polo club to date, Calcutta? is founded.

1876 - James Gordon Bennett, Jr., the wealthy publisher of the New York Herald newspaper, introduced polo to New York from England and founded the Westchester Polo Club, the first polo club in the United States.

1886 – Great Britain defeats the United States in the first Westchester Cup in Newport, Rhode Island.

1936 – Walt Disney (an amateur polo player) produces a cartoon called Mickey’s Polo Team 1940s – The 1940s saw a renaissance in polo, especially in Texas Cowboys in Sri Lanka quickly became enthusiastic about the sport.
