2. A power of attorney signed by the applicant.

3. Application information form (including applicant’s name and address, trademark name, designated goods and services category and specific name).

Examination process:

The Intellectual Property Office’s examination of trademark applications includes formal examination and substantive examination. The Intellectual Property Office will conduct a formal review within one month after receiving the application, and will issue an acceptance notice to those that meet the requirements. After passing the formal examination, you will enter the substantive examination. The substantive examination is to examine whether the trademark applied for registration meets the conditions stipulated in the Trademark Law. Based on the substantive examination, a decision is made to register or reject the application.

Russian trademark registration time:

Time required for registration: 14-20 months

Russian trademark validity period: 10 years, calculated from the date of application .

Renewal of Russian trademarks: Each renewal is valid for 10 years. Application for renewal can be made within 1 year before expiration, or within 6 months after expiration but a certain surcharge must be paid.
