Ph.D.s in Thailand are very valuable.
Doctor, an official name in ancient times. In the Qin and Han dynasties, it was an official position in charge of books, literature, and history. Later, it became an official position in academics, specializing in a classic or proficient in an art, and engaged in teaching students. For example, in the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yunwen once granted Fang Xiaoru the title of "Doctor of Literature".
Possessing a doctorate or equivalent academic qualifications means that a person has the ability to move from the learning stage to the academic stage. The ability or academic ability to produce original theoretical results is the core connotation of a doctoral degree, and it is also the most essential characteristic of a person with a doctoral degree.
Doctor is a title for graduate students studying for a doctoral degree. It can also be used to address those who have obtained a doctoral degree. Recruitment is mainly conducted through the "PhD Admissions Examination" held by ordinary colleges and universities with doctoral programs and relevant scientific research institutions with doctoral training qualifications.
In foreign countries, it specifically refers to people who have obtained a doctorate degree, and doctoral students are also called Dr. so-and-so. Among the three levels of bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctoral degree, the doctoral degree is the highest level.
Development history:
On May 27, 1983, the first batch of 18 Ph.D.s were born in my country.
On October 19, 1983, my country trained the first batch of liberal arts doctors for the first time. At this point, our country’s degree system has become more complete and mature.
Since the establishment of master's and doctoral degree systems in the 1980s, various institutions have successively recruited a large number of graduate students. The postgraduate degree system, courses, defense and admission systems of Chinese universities are basically established and mature. In just a few decades, Chinese universities and scientific research institutions have trained a large number of outstanding talents for China and the world.
Many of the master’s and doctoral students who graduated from China have already served as important academic leaders. A considerable number of them even engage in academic research and hold academic management positions in world-class universities and research laboratories. These are all facts that have been witnessed. However, it is worth noting that although China's higher education and academic research have certain norms and systems institutionally, there are still many areas worth discussing in terms of academic concepts, the nature of education, and degree definitions.
As of the end of 1990, our country had awarded approximately 7,000 doctorate degrees.
As of August 30, 1999, my country’s government had awarded more than 50,000 doctorate degrees.
