According to "Sihong Hezhi", Shuanggou Liquor Industry was founded in 1732 (the tenth year of Yongzheng reign in the Qing Dynasty) and has a history of nearly 300 years. In the long history, Shuanggou Liquor Industry has accumulated profound cultural heritage.

There are many beautiful legends about Shuanggou wine circulating among the people. The most widely circulated ones are "Qu Ge Liquor Girl", "The Legend of Divine Qu Liquor Mother" and so on.

Shuanggou Liquor Industry now has nearly 5,000 employees, with an annual output of more than 50,000 tons of Daqu Liquor. It is the most mechanized, largest wine storage capacity, largest production and sales volume of famous low-alcohol Daqu Liquor in my country's brewing industry, and the largest in Jiangsu Province. It is the earliest national famous wine enterprise in the province to win the national high-quality wine medal. It has been among the top 500 largest industrial enterprises in China for six consecutive years and has two well-known Chinese trademarks: "Shuanggou" and "Shuanggou Zhenbaofang".

Shuanggou Daqu is famous for its "clear and transparent color, rich aroma, pure flavor, sweet entrance, mellow body and long tail". It is one of the outstanding representatives of the world-famous Jianghuai style (Su, Lu, Anhui, and Henan) strong-flavor liquors, namely Shuanggou Liquor, Tanggou Liquor, Gaogou Liquor, and Yanghe Liquor.

Shuanggou Daqu uses high-quality sorghum as raw material and high-temperature Daqu made from high-quality wheat, barley, peas, etc. as saccharification starter. The fermented grains are produced by slow fermentation in layers, distilled slowly at a suitable temperature, tasted and intercepted in sections, and stored in classified airtights. After careful blending and strict inspection, they are filled and shipped out of the factory.

In the late Qing Dynasty (1910), the Shuanggou Daqu liquor brewed in Shuanggou Town, Sihong participated in the Nanyang Quanye Association Famous Wine Competition, was rated first, and won a gold medal.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was rated as a national famous wine and won a gold medal at all national wine appraisal conferences.
