What is the application procedure for a French trademark?

The process of applying for a French trademark: The applicant submits the trademark application documents to the French Industrial Property Office. The Industrial Property Office will review whether the trademark is registrable according to the law, whether it is the same as a previously registered trademark, or Similarity, and whether it violates the prohibited provisions of trademark law. For trademarks that fail substantive examination, the trademark examiner will notify the applicant in writing and inform the applicant of the reasons for rejection. The trademark applicant can submit a reexamination application within the time limit from the date of receipt of the rejection notice. Otherwise, the trademark application will be deemed to be abandoned, and the application date and application number will not be retained. Applicants can apply for an extension after paying the extension fee. The trademark examiner may conditionally accept certain trademark registration applications and may require the applicant to give up the right to use certain words or graphics in the trademark.
