Goodyear Tire-Established

In 1898, in the United States, there were all kinds of vehicles on the road, from horses and carriages to the recently born automobiles, but they all urgently needed a mat that could cushion the impact of the road. So the Frank Siebel brothers bought a cardboard factory east of Akron, Ohio, and began manufacturing rubber products. In order to commemorate Mr. Charles Goodyear, who invented "vulcanization" in 1839, the brothers named the company "Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company" and chose "Feizu" as their trademark, taking its graceful and swift meaning.
