The ice pier symbolizes creating extraordinary things and exploring the future, and embodies the infinite possibilities of pursuing Excellence, leading the times and facing the future.

Bing Dun Dun (English: Bing Dwen Dwen, Chinese Pinyin: bīng dūn dūn) is the mascot of the 222 Beijing Winter Olympic Games. Combining the panda image with the super-energy ice crystal shell, the head shell shape is taken from the ice and snow sports helmet, decorated with colorful halo, and the overall image looks like an astronaut. "Ice" symbolizes purity and strength, which is the characteristic of the Winter Olympics. "Dundun" means honest, stocky and lovely, which fits the overall image of panda and symbolizes the strong body, indomitable will and inspiring Olympic spirit of Winter Olympics athletes.

The red heart pattern on the palm of the left hand represents the warm welcome of the host country, China, to people from all over the world.
