Geely unveiled a new hard-top convertible sports car. What do you think of this car?

As a luxury electric vehicle brand co-founded by Geely and Volvo, Polestar was founded in 2017. Its head office has been established in Sweden, and its production sites are located in Chengdu and Taizhou. However, looking at the development trend of more than 4 years, there are only two cars, Polestar 1 and Polestar 2, and there is no "big climate" in the market. However, according to Polestar's plan, it will gradually expand its efforts in 2022 and release three new cars within three years in the near future. Recently, Polestar announced a new concept car, Polestar O2, which is accurately positioned as a hard-top convertible pure electric supercar.

Judging from the official pictures, the product styling design of this concept sports car is not "whimsical", but is closer to the level of a crossover. At the same time, it not only has the sporty style of a traditional super sports car, but also gives it the design advantages of an intelligent electric model. The flat and wide front of the car shows a fastback posture, combined with the prominent air deflector scoop shape design, emphasizing the characteristics of a super sports car. The shape of the headlights on both sides is no longer the same "Thor's Hammer" model from Volvo. Instead, it adopts a separate design similar to the bottom of the car logo. The upper and lower symmetrical L-shaped light groups look very futuristic and modern.

The two-door and four-seater layout gives the Polestar O2 a standardized super sports car design. It adopts a hard-top convertible design and is paired with a large fastback body. It is even better than the Maserati 911. In addition, you can also see that its body uses a lot of fluid dynamics design solutions, including low-resistance wheels, air ducts in front of the wheels, as well as rear taillights and complicated taillights that can be used as rear wings to reduce rear seepage. Front surround, etc., are committed to improving battery life. The wrap-around rear taillights once again highlight the excellent high-tech atmosphere.

The interior of the car also maintains a simple design style, equipped with left and right thick-bottomed leather sports steering wheels, a full LCD instrument, a large-sized vertically designed central control touch screen and a rotary electronic gear lever. Overall, It's very sci-fi and not lacking in luxury and sportiness. Naturally, intelligent driverless technology will not be absent either. It is worth mentioning that the new car is still equipped with a fully automatic drone at the rear end, which can follow the car at a speed of 90km/h, return autonomously after taking pictures, and can write and communicate video clips through the central control screen.

As for acceleration performance, Polestar O2 will be built based on the same new personalized aluminum bonding platform as Polestar 5, which will have great improvements in maneuverability, sensitivity and body stiffness. It seems that, coupled with the good performance of Polestar 1 and Polestar 2 in the past, it is expected that this car will have excellent sporty performance. According to Polestar’s overall brand plan, it shouldn’t be too long before Polestar O2 is mass-produced. So, what do you think of this hard-top convertible sports car "made" by Geely?
