The entire territory of Foping is located in the Qinling Mountains. The county seat is in the middle of the county. It is a mountain nest on the Jiaoxi River. It is surrounded by mountains. This county with a total area of ??1,279 square kilometers is considered a small county in the Qinling Mountains, and its total population of less than 30,000 makes it the least populous county in Shaanxi.

Yueba Town is in the northwest of Foping County, 65 kilometers away from the county. This is truly the hinterland of Qinling Mountains.

From the map, Yueba is located near the main ridge of the Daqin Mountains, adjacent to Baoji Huangbaiyuan and Taibai Mountain to the northwest, and to the north is Huangtongliang and the old county town of Zhouzhi in Xi'an. , even on the map, there is only one place name marked at a long distance.

To the north, there is a virgin forest without villages. This is the area surrounded by several national reserves such as Changqing Reserve and Foping Reserve. In the vast jungle, there are only Only scientific researchers and adventure-loving travel enthusiasts will set foot here.

What would a town that is hidden so deep and far away look like? I'm curious.

A township bus runs from Foping County to Yueba, but perhaps due to remoteness or lack of people, this bus is far less convenient than buses from other towns, and can only go back and forth every two days.

The bus from the county town to Yueba leaves at 3:30 pm, and the bus will not return from Yueba to the county town until 7:20 am the next day. In order to wait for this train, I stayed one night in Foping County, and the next morning I went to Xiashawo to review the sea of ????Cornus flowers. The car quickly drove out of the county town and headed south along one of the most famous self-driving roads in the Qinling Mountains, National Highway 108. At the beginning, we walked along the Jiaoxi River Valley. The road was flat and the mountains and rivers were beautiful. After about 9 kilometers, we arrived at a place called "Three Religions Hall". From then on, the bus suddenly turned up the mountain, wrapping around the mountainside, turning around and around, one sharp turn after another, circling up the mountain. .

I couldn’t take a clear picture with my camera, but I suddenly understood why the driver was so diligent in helping us fasten our seat belts just now, and he seemed to be filling up with diesel at the gas station.

The road in the river valley had been left far behind. Now, in front of the bus is a 32-kilometer winding and mountainous road.

This is still National Highway 108. Maybe it’s because the road is difficult to drive and there are many transportation options. There are very few cars on this road. Faced with one sharp turn after another and continuous turns, the young driver can drive with ease and take the slow turns. The Tao is just right slow and never hesitates when it should be fast.

When we actually climb up the mountain, the ups and downs of the road are not very big.

The strange thing is that these mountains seem to be connected together. The car went up the mountain and drove within a roughly equal height range, going around one peak after another and passing through one mountain after another.

I looked out the window carefully. For a long section of the road, the cars were almost hovering on the top of the mountain. I could see the sun with my hands, and there was a deep valley at my feet.

This section of the mountain road does not end until Yangtian Town in Yangxian County, another county. The bus meandered there for a long time before going around from the top of the mountain to the river at the foot of the mountain.

I can’t see the names of these mountains on the map, and I can’t find records on the Internet. According to the names of the tunnels I saw on the road, I may have passed at least two mountain groups, one of which is Maoer. Liang, one is Tu Ling. Among them, the Ditiling Tunnel is more than 1,000 meters above sea level and 2,440 meters long.

After the bus arrived at the rice field, it left the ups and downs of National Highway 108 and turned north along a clear river, the Jinshui River, into the Jinshui River Valley. 24 kilometers upstream to the upper reaches of Jinshui River is Yueba Town, where I want to go.

If I was thrown on the top of the waves just now, I have now dived into the bottom of the deep valley. Along the "Yueyang Road" (Yueba to Yangtian) by the Jinshui River, there are small roads all the way. Pastoral scenery.

During this period, we also passed a branch road leading to "Longtan". Later I learned that more than ten kilometers from that ditch, there is the grassroots protection station of Foping National Nature Reserve - Longtan. The sub-protection station protects rare animals, plants and ecology such as wild giant pandas and takin in the Qinling Mountains.

There are many villages along the way, and there are many stops on the entire bus line, such as Sanjiodian, Xicha River, Moshigou, Wengzigou, Yangtian, Luguan River, Liziba, Caolin, Yueba et al. After passing the rice field, people got off the bus one after another, and people got on the bus. It can be seen that this bus is not only a large bus between the county and Yueba, but also a small internal bus that the villagers along the Jinshui River Basin rely on.

The Jinshui River is a first-class tributary of the Han River. It was named Zangshuishui in ancient times, also known as the Golden Water. According to the records of Hanzhong Prefecture: "It originates from the Qinling Mountains, flows south to the Jintan of Huangjin Gorge, and enters the Han Dynasty."

According to modern data, the upper reaches of the Jinshui River spread out like tree branches, including the West River, the East River, the Longtan River and the Yueba River. The four rivers merged into Jinshui to form the Jinshui River, which flows through Hanzhong Buddha. The main river in Ping County and Yang County is about 56 kilometers long. But it is not clear which river is used as the source for calculation.
