1. Trademark inquiry: Before trademark registration, the applicant needs to make similar or identical inquiries about the trademark submitted for application.
2. Formal verification: Bahrain Trademark Office will verify the legality of the submitted application documents, trademark patterns, power of attorney and other documents after submitting the trademark application. Those who meet the requirements will be awarded the application date and application number.
3. substantive verification: check whether it is registrable according to relevant laws and regulations, and whether it violates the prohibition clause of the trademark law. For a trademark that cannot pass the substantive inspection, the inspector will inform the applicant of the title of the trademark and inform the applicant of the reasons for the rejection of the trademark. From the date of receiving the notice of rejection, the applicant must submit a reexamination within the prescribed time limit, otherwise the trademark application will be regarded as abandoned. The application date and application number are not reserved.
4. Trademark announcement: The verified trademark will enter the trademark announcement period. The announcement period is 3 months, during which anyone can raise an objection.
5. Registration approval: After the announcement, the trademark will be registered and a registration certificate will be issued.
