There are many wardrobe brands in Zhuhai. If consumers want to buy a brand that understands environmental protection, it is recommended to buy a solid wood wardrobe brand, and then choose some big brands to buy. Here is an introduction to the environmental protection of each wardrobe board. Condition.
First of all, we need to classify the boards used in wardrobes, understand the manufacturing process and national standards of each type of board, and at the same time master the world's top environmental protection standards, so that we can have the ability to make judgments when choosing.
The boards used for wardrobes mainly fall into the following categories:
1. Solid wood particle board is the most widely used board in the current market. It is mainly crushed by fast-growing forest, and then bonded under high temperature and pressure by adding thermosetting adhesives, such as urea-formaldehyde resin glue or melamine resin glue. Because aldehyde-containing glue is used, there is free formaldehyde in the board. Its advantages are strong nail-holding power and good moisture-proof performance. It is a cabinet board commonly used by custom home furnishing companies.
2. Multi-layer solid wood board, the usage is relatively large. This kind of board is made of 9 or 11 layers of wooden flakes processed under high temperature and pressure by adding urea-formaldehyde or melamine thermosetting glue. Therefore, the board also contains harmful free formaldehyde. The advantage is that the nail grip is also very good. It has high static bending strength and is not easy to bend and deform. It is also commonly used in customized homes, but the edge sealing effect is relatively poor.
3. Pure solid wood panels are mainly favored in the high-end consumer market. It is also the furniture panel most familiar to Chinese consumers. The advantage is that it contains almost no formaldehyde and is of high grade. The disadvantage is that it is easy to deform! The cost is extremely high.
4. Density board, also called fiberboard, is also used in the market, but in small quantities. It is made by crushing and grinding fast-growing wood into wood fiber, and processing it under high temperature and high pressure with thermosetting glue. The board contains free formaldehyde. Because the wood fibers are relatively thin, the nail holding power is poor, and the static bending strength is not ideal. Therefore, it is not used much in customized home furnishing companies.
5. Straw board, this is one of the wardrobe boards that has only emerged in recent years. Its advantage is that it uses relatively expensive polyurethane resin as a bonding agent and does not contain formaldehyde. It is commonly known as a healthy board that does not release harmful substances. Its shortcomings are also obvious, that is, the nail holding power is poor, resulting in weak link strength such as hinges. At the same time, the static bending strength is not high, and it is easy for cabinets to bend when the cabinet is too high and the load-bearing capacity decreases.
Secondly, the national standards require that the release of harmful substances in the board must reach E1 level before it can be used indoors, that is, the free formaldehyde content should not exceed 1.5 mg/L (the measurement method is the dryer method). The current highest international standard is E0 level, with free formaldehyde content not exceeding 0.5 mg/L. Therefore, as long as it is within 1.5 mg/L, it will not cause harm to the living environment and health. Consumers choose the board that best suits them based on their own economic conditions. Of course, if conditions permit, they can choose pure solid wood products, straw boards, solid wood particle boards and multi-layer solid wood boards that reach the E0 level.
