1, pay attention to the shelf life.
Hot melt adhesives usually have a shelf life after production. That is to say, if it is used within this shelf life, excluding some external factors, it is no problem to use hot melt adhesive, but the shelf life is relative, depending on the storage method of hot melt adhesive.
2. Reuse the same pot stickers
The hot melt adhesive that has not been used up is best left in the rubber pot. It is best to estimate the amount of glue to be used before gluing, and melt how many kilograms of hot melt adhesive as needed to avoid waste. Another advantage is that the hot melt adhesive that is avoided as much as possible will form carbide after repeated heating. Carbide equals impurity, which will affect the performance of glue and make it non-sticky. Sometimes you can't run out of glue. Before the next heating, add some hot melt adhesive and stir it. Pay attention to this trick.
3. Hot melt adhesive will deteriorate if it is stored for too long.
Some users may not use much glue at ordinary times, and the unused hot melt adhesive has been stored in the warehouse. When needed, they found that the bonding effect was very different from before. What is the reason? Hot melt adhesive will be affected by different storage environments, resulting in changes in its performance. For example, moisture, dust and microorganisms in the air will invade the hot melt adhesive from the surface and destroy the molecular sequence inside. When this happens, the performance of hot melt adhesive will change, and different physical changes will occur during use.
If the hot melt adhesive permeates too much water, the water will evaporate directly when the glue melts. The water deeper in the glue is locked in the glue and cannot be released, so bubbles will form. When the glue is extruded, the bubbles are discharged together with the glue. At this time, water vapor is released into the air, and the space occupied by bubbles is vacated by the extruded glue, forming what everyone calls a gap. If the dust permeates too much, there will be more impurities in the glue, which is definitely not good. However, when there is a problem, many glue users sum up the problem as glue is not sticky! Sometimes it is not necessarily the hot melt adhesive itself, but the storage and use habits will also affect its use effect. Therefore, when storing hot melt adhesive, seal it carefully, and then seal the box or bag mouth after using it. No one can guarantee that the hot melt adhesive will stick well next time.
Long service life will not be the direct reason why hot melt adhesive is not sticky, but it will also become the root of the problem. After all, losing viscosity will not happen overnight. There must be some factors. If the time is too long, it is recommended not to use it again. The plastic water tank should be cleaned and refilled with new hot melt adhesive.
