Jixi Black Pig is a specialty of Jixi County, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province.

Jixi black pig, Anhui pig breed, is an excellent local pig breed. Since the Qing Dynasty, Jingzhou, Jixi has raised sows as its main household sideline, and cultivated excellent local livestock breeds with rough feeding tolerance, strong disease resistance and high farrowing rate, which are called "Jingzhou Black Iron" and 1958 named "Jingzhou Black Pig". After it was extended to surrounding villages in the 1960s, it was raised throughout the county. 1982 passed the expert appraisal organized by Anhui Animal Husbandry Department and was renamed Jixi Black Pig. Together with Shan Yang Black Pig in Ningguo, it is called Southern Anhui Black Pig, and it is listed in Anhui Local Livestock and Poultry Variety Catalogue compiled by 1984. In May 2009, Southern Anhui Black Pig was listed as one of the first batch of 26 local livestock and poultry breed protection lists in Anhui Province, and was listed in the country in 20 10.

Jixi black pig producing areas are mainly distributed in Jingzhou, Jiapeng, Heyang and other towns in Jixi County and parts of Ningguo. Jingzhou Township, Jixi County, the central producing area, is a small mountain zone in Jixi County, with an altitude of more than 700 meters, surrounded by mountains and high germplasm purity.
