1. Double yellow duck eggs

Double yellow duck eggs are a specialty of Gaoyou, Yangzhou. They are named because there are two yolks in one egg. Ducks give birth to double yolks because the food here is good, the ducks are strong, and they ovulate continuously, forming double yolks or even triple yolks. Gaoyou salted duck eggs are famous for their red color and rich oil. Double-yolk salted duck eggs are boiled and cut open. The egg white is like white jade and the yolk is like red tangerine. It is pleasing to the eye and has a unique flavor.

2. Jieshou Dried Tea

The five-spice dried tea from Chen Xilou in Gaoyou Jieshou has long enjoyed a high reputation. Legend has it that Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River and passed by Jieshou. He smelled the aroma on the shore and called the police to investigate. It turned out to be the aroma of boiled dried five-spice tea. Emperor Qianlong greatly appreciated it after tasting it. From then on, Jieshou dried tea was listed as a tribute and became famous all over the world. In 1927, he won the first prize at the West Lake Exposition.

3. Qinyou Dongtang

Qinyou Dongtang is a traditional specialty product of Gaoyou, Yangzhou, with a history of more than 300 years. The original name is crisp candy. There are two explanations for why it is called dong candy. One theory is that this candy was made by a master named Dong, and the other theory is that this candy was created by Dong Xiaowan, a famous Qinhuai prostitute in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, hence the name.

Dongtang is hand-refined with glutinous rice flour, sesame, white sugar, malt and other raw materials. It is dark wheat yellow in color, uniform in thickness, soft in the mouth, delicious and sweet, suitable for all ages, and is a good gift for relatives and friends.
