Recognition. Upon inquiry, Lanting Award is the only national highest calligraphy award approved by the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and also the highest professional award of calligraphy art in China. The Children's Painting and Calligraphy Award is recognized by the state. This award is the highest award and honor awarded to calligraphers, calligraphers theorists, calligraphers educators and calligraphers who have made great achievements and outstanding contributions in the fields of calligraphy art creation, theoretical research, calligraphy education, editing and publishing.
