What kind of film does heat shrinkable film refer to?

Heat shrinkable film label is a film label printed on plastic film or plastic tube using special ink. During the labeling process, when heated (about 70℃), the label will shrink quickly. It shrinks along the outer contour of the container and adheres closely to the surface of the container. Heat shrinkable film labels mainly include shrink sleeve labels and shrink wrap labels. Shrink sleeve labels are cylindrical labels made of heat shrinkable film as the base material and printed after printing. They are easy to use and are very suitable for special-shaped containers. Shrink sleeve labels generally require special labeling equipment to apply the printed sleeve label to the container. First, the labeling equipment opens the sealed cylindrical sleeve label, which may sometimes need to be punched; next, the sleeve label is cut to a suitable size and put on the container; then heat treatment is performed using steam, infrared rays or hot air channels. , so that the sleeve label is tightly attached to the surface of the container. Due to the high transparency of the film itself, the label has bright color and good gloss. However, because it must be shrunk during use, it has the disadvantage of pattern deformation, especially for products printed with barcode logos. Strict design and printing quality control must be carried out, otherwise the barcode quality will be unqualified after pattern deformation. Shrink wrap labels can be applied using traditional labeling equipment, which requires the use of adhesives and higher temperatures. During the shrinkage process, the adhesive at the overlapping parts of the film will produce stress, so it is better to use hot melt adhesive. Shrink wrap labels are usually made of PP film. Since the shrinkage rate of PP film is not high, generally within 20, it is more appropriate to use hot melt adhesive when labeling. If solvent-based adhesive is used, it may cause wrinkles in the PP film. Due to the high shrinkage temperature of PP film, hot air is mainly used for heat treatment, which can reach higher temperatures than steam heating.
