Sun Chuan’s growth experience

My mother was pregnant in Tibet in ten months

In 1973, Sun Chuan’s parents were transferred back to Beijing from Tibet. They brought back a large number of 78-rpm records, which made Sun Chuan excited while listening to them. Sounds familiar: Kreisler's violin music, Beethoven's sonata... Sun Chuan said, "Mom, I seem to have heard it everywhere?" My mother found it unbelievable and suddenly realized: Did you hear it in your mother’s belly? My mother, who is a violinist, stayed in Tibet for the entire ten months of her pregnancy. The flowers on the plateau bloomed for three seasons, the trees stayed green for three seasons, and the records on the record player also rotated for three seasons. In the late 1950s, the military art troupe came to Beijing to perform. His son was born in Sichuan, and his professional name was Sun Chuan.

Every time he eats sweet potatoes, he has to play the role of a robber

When Sun Chuan was one or two years old, he and his sister settled in Beijing. He entered the "Jiuyi" Kindergarten at the foot of Yuquan Mountain from Taipingqiao Jieru Nursery School, and then entered Yuying Primary School, known as the "Aristocratic School". In these favorable conditions, he didn't know the bitterness of eating braised vegetables during natural disasters. The British-style afternoon tea in the kindergarten made him taste the sweetness of milk and snacks. The only whole grain, white potato, gave it a fresh and delicious taste. Every time he ate sweet potatoes, he had to play the role of a robber. He would rob the sweet potatoes from the hands of the female classmate next to him, and every time he was given milk, he would pour all the milk to the female classmate next to him. Bad boy and good boy, he played these two roles alternately with endless pleasure.

The superior life cannot cover up the isolation and loneliness of childhood

In kindergarten, he liked to draw and copied things as he pleased, but he was not nurtured by his family. When he was 7 years old, he began to read novels, "Eagle of the Li Tribe" and "Song of Ouyang Hai" which made him feel emotional; in middle school, he began to read Tolstoy's three novels and Balzac's "The Human Comedy"... In the third year of high school, I became deeply obsessed with philosophy books.

My parents, who worked in the Southwest Military Region, dedicated 20 years from entering Tibet in 1953 to leaving Tibet in 1973. During this period, their son had grown into a 15- or 6-year-old boy. But the son has been living in a group or alone. He has no concept of family, no concrete love from his parents, and no understanding of the ways of the world. The indifference caused by this blank period can never be erased. This has caused a kind of pain to the young Sun Chuan and left a deep impression on him. His upbringing brings with it negative influences and emotions.

Invisible fingers play music

Sun Chuan knew eight model plays by heart. In the cadre school of the art troupe, this kid from Beijing actually became a teacher. In the cadre school rehearsal of "Shajiabang", my father sang Jinghu, my mother sang Aqing's wife, and Xiao Sunchuan taught all other roles. Everyone said this was the "Sun family team." Not only Peking Opera, he can also recite the instrumental works "The White-Haired Girl" and "The Red Detachment of Women". Uncles and aunts praised the child for his good musical memory. When he was in middle school, he often took out the accordion of the school publicity team and played it endlessly. No one taught me, so I somehow learned the simple musical notation while playing the accordion. He played "Girls Polka" and "Herdsmen Sing Chairman Mao" without anyone telling him how to do it, he just knew how to do it. He pulled like crazy and felt very happy. Both hands had ganglion cysts. The swelling did not go away until a few years ago.

Sitting on the loess slope with "Anti-Dulin Theory" in one hand and "Harmony" in the other hand

After graduating from junior high school, Sun Chuan should stay in Beijing, although at that time Graduates also go to the suburbs of Beijing in large numbers to join the ranks, but Sun Chuan is still the enviable one who meets the conditions for staying in the city. But he thought that young people at that time envied having a fixed job, and preparing furniture with multiple legs for marriage and buying "three turns and one ring" were boring and vulgar. There happened to be a comrade who wanted to go to Yan'an to join the queue, and this idealistic choice clicked with him. In this way, one morning, Sun Chuan secretly took his household registration book and went to Tiantan Nanli Police Station to complete the procedures. After returning home, Sun Chuan told his mother, who still didn't know about it, and her mother was surprised. In Ganquan County, where Zhang Side burned charcoal, what Sun Chuan saw was completely different from the positive things his father had instilled in him. The life of farmers in the mountainous areas was very backward, and the relationship between cadres and the masses was not what his father said.

After several months of farm work, Sun Chuan couldn't bear it anymore, so he became a sheepherder. When herding sheep, he held "Anti-Dulin Theory" in one hand and "Harmony" in the other hand, sitting on the loess slope with his head It's the blue sky. This is the most beautiful scene in the life of Sun Chuan, an educated youth.

In order to rush to Yan'an for the interview, he walked 80 miles at night

The second year after going to the countryside, Sun Chuan took the exam for the first year after the resumption of the college entrance examination. With a plan in mind, his first choice was the Library Department of Peking University, and his second choice was Xi'an Conservatory of Music. The art school enrolled students in advance, and because the notice was late, he walked 80 miles at night to get to Yan'an for the interview. Xi'an Conservatory of Music gave priority to this young man who was destined to be associated with music. Because of his naturally good hearing, he was exempted from sight-singing and ear training in the second grade.

He spent the 5 yuan registration fee and returned to Beijing

It was another three years. Sun Chuan, who grew up in Beijing, often wanted to return to the cultural atmosphere in Beijing. He wanted to go back so much. After arriving in Beijing, he learned that there was a path to graduate school. When others were vying for the honor of performing in Beijing and participating in productions, he quietly stepped aside to learn foreign languages. When he was assigned a job after college, he told his classmates that I would definitely be able to return to Beijing in 10 years at most and 5 years at least. But three years later, he spent the 5 yuan registration fee to apply under the name of Miao Tianrui, a teacher who was a leading teacher in the field of basic music theory in the 1960s and 1970s, and won the first place among more than 70 candidates. Years later, he thought that many people, like him, had changed their destiny through personal struggle.

Before writing "Seeing Flowers in the Smoke", Sun Chuan was in panic. A few years later, he was panicking again

In his second year as a graduate student, a "northwest wind" blew, and Chinese pop songs began to take off. Sun Chuan noticed this change, and this year he came into contact with the recording studio. His mentors disapproved of his shift in attention, and serious music looked askance at popular music. But during the three years of Han Chuang's hard studying, China's first batch of popular musicians have hit the ground running.

After graduating from graduate school, Sun Chuan was either assigned to the China Academy of Art or to the "Encyclopedia", both of which required him to work. He wants to be creative, and it would be best if he could write and not have to work. He picked up the phone book and called people one by one. He didn't know which group of the Ministry of Culture he called. The other person said that you spoke so smoothly. Are you calling better now? yes. But it’s not that I can’t tell the difference. I don’t want to sit in classes or engage in theory, but I want to join a literary and art group. The kind person said that the cultural and artistic groups of the Ministry of Culture were all overstaffed and it was impossible to hire more people. How about you try the industrial group? Sun Chuan opened the phone book again. On the "Industrial Troupe" page, the ACFTU Art Troupe was ranked first. It was almost 5 o'clock when the call was dialed. A deputy head in charge of business who was usually not at work picked up the phone and heard Sun Chuan introduce himself, "Come here with your things." When we arrived, we were just in time for a big party held by the ACFTU. Sun Chuan officially went to work two weeks later.

He is still grateful to Directors Yin Xueni and Ding Baizhi of Beijing TV Station. The former trusted and favored him and recommended him to Yang Guang, a newly graduated college student, so that the theme song "We Met Tonight" he composed became a favorite song of Beijing people and became his famous work. The latter employs eclectic people. At the 1995 Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, he sang a solo while standing on the Suzhou Bridge. Some people still recognize him today. Hey, you are the one singing on the bridge! He deeply missed the innocent entertainment industry in his past

In 1993, after Sun Chuan's "Smoke and Flowers" created for the Central Channel 2 Trademark Law Gala was broadcast, he took a small whiteboard tape and sent it to Beijing Music Station, they broadcast it very simply. After eight weeks of broadcasting, Sun Chuan was greatly encouraged by countless phone calls and three thousand letters. In 1995, China Central Television made "Small Flowers" into an MTV, which further contributed to its spread. This song shows Sun Chuan's talent and courage. Before he wrote "Seeing Flowers in the Mist", Sun Chuan was in panic. A few years later, although he wrote "Walking in the Snow to Seek Plum Blossoms", "Chasing Fate", "The Peacock Flies Southeast" and other popular works It was a good song, but it was not more voluntarily accepted by the people than "Smoke in the Sky", so he became panicked again. He believes the big reason is not personal.

If China is a country with a sound legal system and a sound royalty system, he can make a living not by royalties from new works he doesn’t like, but by royalties from successful works. He can write one song a year, one song every ten years, and write I want to write music for musicals and film and television.
