How long does it usually take to know the result of a trademark objection?

According to the current processing speed of the Trademark Office, it will take three to four months from the time the defense notice is sent to the time the defense is received and the examiner makes a ruling, including the time required for mailing. After investigation and verification, the Trademark Office will make a decision on whether to approve registration within twelve months from the expiration date of the announcement. If the Trademark Office makes a decision not to register and the opponent is dissatisfied, he or she may apply to the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board for review within fifteen days from the date of receipt of the notice. If the Trademark Office makes a decision to approve registration, it will issue a trademark registration certificate and make an announcement.
