Detailed process of trademark transfer
Trademark transfer is the act that a trademark registrant assigns, sells or transfers a registered trademark owned and used by others. Where a registered trademark is transferred, the transferor and the transferee shall, within 6 months after the transfer, apply to the competent trademark authority for transfer registration or evaluate the price. Some countries stipulate that the transfer of trademarks should be transferred together with enterprises. China does not stipulate that the trademark is transferred with the enterprise, but stipulates that the transferee should guarantee the quality of the goods using the transferred trademark. Trademarks can also be used as investment to buy stocks at a fixed price.

Trademark transfer needs to go through the formalities in the Trademark Office, and its process includes: application → acceptance → review → announcement → issuance of transfer certificate.

The seller and the buyer sign a trademark transfer contract/agreement.

Trademark notarization is generally completed within 3-5 working days after the trademark holder obtains the Trademark Declaration Notary Certificate.

Submit the prepared materials and notarial certificate to the Trademark Office and then to transfer fees (usually 500 yuan).

The Trademark Office issued an acceptance letter in about 1-2 months and began to review.

After accepting the application, the Trademark Office will issue an announcement about 2-3 months, and issue a certificate of approval and transfer of the registered trademark to both parties.
