1933 Laochangfang was originally the slaughterhouse of the Shanghai Ministry of Industry and Commerce Bureau. This building, built in 1933, has a unique spatial layout, with an outer garden and an inner garden, a square factory area surrounded by four buildings in the southeast, northwest and northwest, and a 24-sided main building in the middle connected by stairs.

The entire building is staggered in height, with winding corridors, and the design is as precise as a maze, but in clear order. The processing workshop adopts "beamless floor", which was a very advanced technology at the time.
