Lai Guishan (1904-1999), whose nickname was "Lai Mao"; he was from Huangping, Guizhou, and his ancestral home was Quanzhou, Fujian; he had an elder brother, Lai Yongchu;
a younger brother, Lai Yusheng. Lai Guishan was a Guizhou business tycoon and a famous patriotic national industrialist during the Republic of China. Lai Guishan named the Laijiamao liquor produced by "Hengxing Shaofang" after his nickname "Lai Mao" and personally designed the famous "Pengqiu" trademark of "Lai Mao" ", and published advertisements in "Nanjing Daily" that "the poor Mao is well-known at home and abroad" and "the bad Mao on the table is delicious food in the air". From then on, "Laimao" officially sold well all over the country, entered the international market, and became famous all over the world.
In 1988, the Industry and Commerce Bureau of Renhuai County, Guizhou approved the "Laimao" trademark at the beginning of the year; however, in June of the same year, the National Industry and Commerce Bureau The Trademark Review and Adjudication Board of the State Administration of Industry and Commerce rejected the "Lai Mao" trademark; in July of the same year, 85-year-old Lai Guishan went to Beijing to see the history of "Lai Mao" in person, and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce agreed to "allow reconsideration"; but in December of the same year, "Kweichow Moutai" The factory "applied to register the "Laimao" trademark; the National Trademark Office Announcement No. 627426 approved "Laimao" as the registered trademark of "Kweichow Moutai Distillery". After "Kweichow Moutai Distillery" successfully applied for the registered trademark of "Lai Mao", it did not actually produce "Lai Mao". Lai Guishan has repeatedly appealed against the registration of the "Lai Mao" trademark by "Kweichow Moutai Distillery", but to no avail. Later, due to the unique brand advantages of "Laimao", many wineries labeled their liquors as "Laimao". Due to the large number of liquors using the "Laimao" brand, it is no longer possible to distinguish them. The world changed the name of the "Laimao liquor" brewed from the ancestral craftsmanship of Lai Guishan to "Lai Guishan liquor", with the intention of "tracing back to the original source".
