Initially only "rubber shoes" were produced, but soon began making tennis and basketball shoes. In 1917, All Star was born, and it remains a classic to this day! In 1921, basketball player Chuck Taylor joined as a salesperson and he became a huge success. In 1923, it became a famous trademark with the autograph of CHUCK TAYLOR, a basketball star with athletic talent and eloquence. In 1930, Converse decided to add Chuck Taylor’s name to its shoes. In 1949, Converse launched the classic and iconic black Chuck Taylor All Star, which quickly became the most popular basketball shoe in the industry. Its design has not changed to this day. In the 1970s, Chuck Taylor was extremely popular and loved by popular rock musicians and the younger generation, and it continues to this day.
