Corylus heterophylla, also known as Castanea mollissima, Castanea acuta or Castanea mollissima, is a deciduous shrub or small tree of dicotyledonous plants, betulaceae and Corylus [1], with a height of about1~ 7 m. It is one of the four largest dried fruits (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts and cashews) in the world and is also known as the "king of nuts".
Hazelnut is a kind of woody grain and woody oil tree with high comprehensive utilization value and wide use. The utilization of hazelnuts in China has a long history, which can be traced back to the Stone Age 6000 years ago. A large number of hazelnut shells were unearthed at the banpo village site in Xi 'an. Relevant written records appeared in the Book of Songs in the 10 century BC. Since ancient times, the working people in our country have the habit of collecting hazelnuts for eating. According to ancient records, "hazelnuts are sweet and the seeds are as small as chestnuts." Modern application reports are even more common, such as the open source "Yuzhen Garden" in Liaoning in the Qing Dynasty.
