Zhou Chunyan, director of the Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce, said that the number of registered trademark applications in the province reached 57,591 in 2013, an increase of nearly 20% from 48,823 in 2012. It was the year with the largest number of applications in history.

By the end of last year, the total number of well-known trademarks in our province reached 153, completing the 150 work target set by the provincial government two years ahead of schedule. ?Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Xuchang each increased by 4, Jiaozuo, and Nanyang each increased by 3, and Xinxiang, Sanmenxia, ??Jiyuan and other cities each increased by 1. All 18 provincial and municipalities in the province achieved full coverage of well-known trademarks. ?

At present, among the 108 counties (cities) in our province, there are still 57 counties (cities) with well-known trademarks of 0; among the 45 major categories of trademarks, there are 14 categories with 0, involving Telecommunications, precious metal items and other industries.

In 2014, the industrial and commercial department will identify 60 of the 180 industrial clusters in the province as demonstration and driving areas for the implementation of trademark trading strategies in industrial clusters. ?
