The Trademark Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) was adopted at the 24th meeting of the 5th the NPC Standing Committee on August 23rd, 2002. It was revised for the third time according to the Decision on Amending the Trademark Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) of the 4th Session of the 12th the NPC Standing Committee on August 30th, 20th13rd. The Trademark Law is divided into general provisions, application for trademark registration, examination and approval of trademark registration, renewal, alteration, transfer and use license of a registered trademark, invalidity of a registered trademark, management of trademark use and protection of the exclusive right to use a registered trademark, with a total of 73 supplementary provisions, which came into force on March 20 14 1983. 1963 April 10 the trademark management regulations promulgated by the State Council were terminated; Other provisions on trademark management that contravene this Law shall be null and void at the same time. Trademarks registered before the implementation of this Law shall remain valid.
