The business of Want Want Company can be traced back to Taiwan Yilan Food Industry Co., Ltd. Want Want Company officially invested in the mainland market in 1992. It was the first company in Taiwan to register trademarks in the mainland and has the most registered trademarks. It established its first factory in Hunan in 1994 and was listed in Singapore in 1996. Wangwang adheres to the business philosophy of "fate, confidence, and unity" and continues to move forward.
Since Want Want invested in the mainland market, its footprints have spread all over China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan. As of June 2006, with the goal of covering the regional market, it has opened more than 110 factories in China, built more than 200 production lines, and has over 10,000 distribution partners. Its business scope spans more than 40 countries and regions on six continents.
Today, Want Want has developed into a comprehensive enterprise with diversified businesses. In addition to operating in the food industry, Want Want is also involved in medical services, restaurant chains, agriculture, hotels, real estate and other fields.

The business of Want Want Company can be traced back to Yilan Food Industry Co., Ltd. established in Taiwan in May 1962. At that time, it mainly produced canned agricultural products and exported them as its main business.
In 1983, the company signed a technical cooperation contract with Iwasuka, one of Japan's three major rice cracker manufacturers, to jointly develop Taiwan's rice cracker market and quickly achieved the status of a leading brand in the market.
In 1987, the Wangwang trademark was applied for trademark registration in the mainland, which was the first time a Taiwanese businessman applied for trademark registration in the mainland. Faced with limited resources and the Taiwanese market, and promptly seizing the opportunity of mainland China's open economy, the company officially expanded into the Chinese market in 1992, and Want Want product advertisements were first broadcast on mainland television. The first factory started production in Hunan in 1994 and laid a solid foundation for Want Want to enter the huge consumer market in mainland China.
In order to improve the company's image, capitalize resources and investment opportunities, and develop funding sources, Singapore Investment Holding Company-Want Want Holdings Pte. Ltd. was established in October 1995 and listed on the Singapore Exchange in May 1996. Listed on the first level stock market and changed its name to Want Want Holdings Co., Ltd.
