Program dispute

On February 16, 2009, the plaintiff Jin Ahuan applied to register the "If You Are the One" trademark.

Before the program was launched on January 15, 2010, Jiangsu Satellite TV signed a licensing contract with Huayi Brothers, and was allowed to use the name and trademark of the "If You Are the One" TV program, and continued to pay licensing fees year by year. On September 7, the "If You Are the One" trademark was approved by the Trademark Office for registration in Category 45 marriage agencies, dating services and other services.

In February 2013, Jin Ahuan sued Jiangsu Radio and Television Station and Zhenai.com to the Shenzhen Nanshan District Court on the grounds of trademark infringement.

In December 2014, the Shenzhen Nanshan District People’s Court rejected Jin Ahuan’s lawsuit. Jin Ahuan was dissatisfied with the first-instance judgment and appealed to the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court. The Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court ruled in the second instance that the title of the program "If You Are the One" infringed on Jin Ahuan's exclusive rights to the "If You Are the One" trademark No. 7199523. Jiangsu TV Station and Zhenai.com both refused to accept the second instance judgment. After review, the Guangdong Provincial Higher People's Court ruled on May 13, 2016 to bring the case to trial.

In January 2016, the court ruled that Jiangsu Radio and Television Station should stop the "If You Are the One" trademark infringement and stop using the "If You Are the One" column name after the judgment came into effect. On January 8, in response to the alleged trademark infringement of "If You Are the One", Jiangsu Radio and Television Station issued a statement: On the premise of respecting the law and maintaining rationality, it has submitted a retrial to the higher court through judicial channels, and the case was filed for review. On December 30, the Guangdong Higher People's Court issued a retrial judgment, revoking the second-instance judgment of the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court and upholding the first-instance civil judgment of the Shenzhen Nanshan District People's Court.
