Because its leaves give off a strange smell when heated, the local natives call it "the smell that scares people to kill." During the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, saints visited Taihu Lake, and courtier Luo Song used this tea. Because of its unruly name, the emperor renamed it "Biluochun".

4. In July 2020, Dongting (Mountain) Biluochun Tea was selected as the second batch of protected geographical indications in Central Europe.
