The shape of teapot is basically changed from geometric patterns, which can be roughly divided into round and square vessels, which are collectively called light element vessels.
On the basis of the modeling of light element devices, three categories have evolved: flower devices, rib devices and lifting beams.
1. Rounder
The basic requirements for the shape of a rounder are: roundness, stability, uniformity, straightness, softness and rigidity.
There should be changes in the roundness of high-quality teapot, and the size and curvature of the teapot itself and its accessories should be symmetrical and the proportion should be appropriate. The overall shape gives people a straight and crisp feeling. Representative shapes are ball pot, antique pot, Han flat pot and so on.
2. Square wares
Square wares are mainly composed of straight lines with different lengths, including square pots, hexagonal pots, octagonal pots, long square pots, etc. They pay attention to the "roundness in the square" in shape, and require the lines to be crisp and straight, with clear outlines and beautiful masculine beauty.
No matter how many squares the purple sand square is made, the lid must be planned uniformly, and no matter which direction the lid is rotated, the lid should be fitted tightly. Representative shapes are furnace pot, monk's hat pot, snow flower pot and so on.
3. Flower ware
Any teapot that imitates the shape of natural objects by sculpture techniques can be classified as flower ware.
It is also called "plastic ware" because it is decorated with relief, semi-circular carving or round carving.
Pots such as Yuhualong and Longtou Bagua, which imitate the shape of animals as body, flow and handle, are called "auspicious animals".
Pots such as Mei Duan, Loose Duan, Bamboo Duan, Tree Gall, and Three Friends of Bundling firewood are called "Xiang Zhi Qi" for imitating plant branches, leaves and vines.
Pots such as Ding, Zun, Jue, Dai, Dou and Basket are called "objects-blessing devices".
pot shapes such as pumpkin, bergamot, lotus and lotus root are called "fruit-recovering devices", which imitate plant flowers, fruits and fruits.
Common cross-collocation, integration and penetration, or tree-shaped, or flower-shaped, or animal-shaped.
4. Ribbed ware
Any regularly shaped teapot with curved surface as a unit can be classified as "rib bag ware", which is essentially a "flower ware" decorated with relief and semi-circular carving, also called "rib ware", and is mostly modeled by the abstraction, variation and folding of natural flowers and fruits. Such as "chrysanthemum", "sunflower", "peach" and "diamond flower".
5, lifting beam
A lifting beam is a pot handle installed above the pot body and in a straight line with the pot flow. The center of gravity of the lifting beam and the pot body is on a vertical line, which saves effort and is not easy to bump, but it is not convenient to pour.
The era of lifting beam pot is earlier than that of end handle pot. Before the Song Dynasty, drinking tea, the pot was used for boiling water, and it was more convenient to put the pot on the stove.
There are two kinds of lifting beams: element type and fancy type. Element type is often used in light wares, while fancy type is often used in flower wares. The composition of the lifting beam itself, Generally, it is divided into two categories: hard lifting and soft lifting. Among them, hard lifting is more common, and soft lifting is rare.
