According to Baidu Encyclopedia, Leshan High-tech Industrial Development Zone belongs to the high-tech zone, the administrative type is the development zone, and it belongs to the national high-tech industrial development zone, with a planned area of 78 square kilometers. It is located in the south of Leshan central city, across the river from Leshan Giant Buddha, with outstanding location advantages. Its predecessor was Leshan Economic Development Zone, which was established in 1992. In 1996,/kloc-0 was officially renamed Leshan High-tech Industrial Development Zone with the approval of the provincial government.
