What is the registration process of Finnish trademarks?
Application procedure:

1. Trademark inquiry: local agents can be entrusted for detailed inquiry.

2. Submit an application. After the applicant submits an application for trademark registration to the Finnish Patent Office, the acceptance notice will be issued in about one month.

3. Registration review. Examiners of the Finnish Patent Office conducted a preliminary examination and a comprehensive examination of the registration application within about 1 year. The examiner may issue a formal notice requesting the revision of the document. If there is no problem with the audit, an announcement will be issued.

4. If the trademark application passes the examination, it will be announced in the announcement.

Within 2 months from the date of announcement, anyone may raise an objection to the announced trademark in accordance with the above provisions on unregistered trademarks.

If there is no objection, the applicant needs to pay the second registration fee. After paying the fee, the Finnish Patent Office will issue a registration certificate.

5. Validity of registration: The validity of trademark registration is 10 years, counting from the date of registration. The renewal application can be submitted within 6 months before the expiration or within 6 months after the expiration, but an additional fee of 15% is required.
