In 1930, Li Liangui's bacon flatbread was well-known in the Northeast. His recipe, old soup and old soup oil for making bacon flatbread were full of mystery and were widely spread by people. Li Liangui died of illness in 1940. His son Li Yao inherited his father's business and moved Lao Tang from Lishu to Siping in 1941 and opened the Siping Li Liangui Bacon Cake Shop. From then on, Li Liangui Bacon Cake became a specialty in China. Since the 1950s, party and state leaders such as Deng Xiaoping, Chen Yun, Li Xuefeng, Yang Shangkun, and Li Peng have tasted Li Liangui's bacon pancake. Li Liangui's bacon flatbread was named a high-quality flavor variety by the Jilin Provincial People's Government in 1980, and won the titles of "Chinese Famous Snacks" and "Famous Trademark" in 1997!
