I don’t know much about berets, but I am an active-duty navy. The army regulations cannot issue pictures of them, so I can only describe them.
Naval officer uniforms are divided into regular uniforms and formal dresses. There are five golden buttons on the outside of the officer uniforms. However, these buttons are just decoration. The real button is just a button on the inside. Officers' uniforms and formal uniforms are black and white respectively.
Noncommissioned officer uniforms are divided into summer uniforms, winter uniforms, short-sleeved summer suits, and long-sleeved autumn suits. The summer uniform is a black suit, the winter uniform is a black tunic suit (the kind with a high round collar), and a short-sleeved summer suit. The top and long-sleeved autumn clothes are white on top and black on the bottom respectively, and the dress is all white.
The classification of sailor uniforms is the same as that of non-commissioned officers. The sailor summer uniform and the sailor winter uniform look the same, both are navy blue, but they are different in thickness. There is a zebra stripe shawl on the back of the sailor uniform.
The uniforms of the troops are uniform. The navy, land and air armed police and the second artillery are all uniform. The navy wears navy blue, the army and armed police wear light cyan, the air force wears dark blue, and the second artillery Wear light brown.
In the Navy, only officers and above are required to wear big-brimmed hats. Sailors wear sailor hats with a white cap cover and two streamers on the back. There are anchors on the front and back of the lower end of the streamers. On the front of the hat is written in gold letters the People's Liberation Army Navy.
