The founder of Suntory is not directly related to the 73 1 Army. Suntory was bought by Nobujiro Niai from Spanish brothers in 1906, and began to produce sweet fruit wine in line with Japanese tastes. During World War II, Nobujiro Niai and his team developed whisky, but due to the problem of resource allocation, their products did not go on the market until after the war. Suntory's first product is 1907 ruby liqueur. On the other hand, Unit 73 1 is a research institution funded by the Japanese military and engaged in biological weapons research. Its members are mainly Japanese soldiers and medical staff, and have no direct connection with the personal history of Suntory's founder.
