Model parts

First of all, I searched as many reference pictures about this car as possible (about 100) before I found a basic and accurate blueprint to make. (Figure 0 1)

Figure 0 1

I use the basic subdivision method to make models, and I don't think it is necessary to really make some models perfect. After mastering the overall conceptual design, I entered the production and adjustment of model details.

1. Create the overall framework of the car;

2. Cutting or extruding polygons;

3. Revise the supplementary details again. (Figure 02)

Figure 02

As for the suitcase, I made each panel separately and then assembled it. (Figure 03)

Figure 03

All I have to do is make the body part, set the position of the light, and then create the window frame. (Figure 04)

Figure 04

After that, I created headlights, taillights, bolts and some internal structures, and I completed the details of the whole car model. (Figure 05)

Figure 05

I carved the folds and textures of car seats and frames with ZBrush. After carving, I applied maps to their surfaces. (Figure 06)

Figure 06

As for the tire, I made a tire pattern first, and then repeated the pattern in a 360-degree circle. (Figure 07)

Figure 07

First, make the trademark of the tire in Photoshop, and then apply the bump map to the tire. (Figure 08)

Figure 08

The most important thing in headlight production is the production of this kind of refractive glass. I made this glass pattern on the surface of composite material. As shown below, I use ordinary glass as the first layer and bump map as the second layer. (Figure 09)

Figure 09

This bump map was made with gradient tool in Photoshop. (Figure 10)

Scene setting

I use real studio lighting to create a reference scene. (Numbers 1 1, 12)

Figure 1 1

Figure 12

No.65438 +0 lamp adopts VRay surface lamp to create the atmosphere and reflection of the scene;

No.2, No.3 and No.4 VRay lamps bounce off three spherical objects, mainly to create soft light.

Because I want to make a soft reflection, I am sure that the diffusion of Vraylight is on, and the spectacle and reflection are off.

Although Hummer is not round in shape, it is flat on the contrary. So I used the method mentioned above, trying to create a softer reflection.

What about light number five? I found that this area looked a little dark and there was almost no reflection, so I decided whether it was necessary to add more light.

Spotlight No.6 is mainly used to brighten the background and separate the car from the background. I also added some colors to the lights to create an overall atmosphere. (Numbers 13, 14, 15)

I remember I kept changing my lighting settings and setting my proximity. This tutorial is the progress of my work, I hope it can help you. Thanks for watching. (Figure 16)
