What does RTI mean in UL certification?

RTI is the abbreviation of Relative Thermal Index, which infers the maximum temperature that a material can withstand in 1, hours through the accelerated aging test results of 6, to 2, hours, which is what we usually call the long-term service temperature of plastics. The long-term service temperature of materials can be judged from the RTI value in UL yellow card.

the second part of p>UL94 test is to determine the relative temperature index (RTI) of the material. RTI is a specific temperature at which the original value of a material's characteristics is reduced to half after it is placed for 6,-2, hours. If it is not tested, the material adopts ordinary RTI. The higher the RTI value, the higher the material grade.
